I not too long ago bought a pair of these Cobra MicroTalk CXR925 two-way radios to use as 'test' replacement radios for our six.five acre, 4 developing mini-campus (mostly we purchased based on several strong client critiques and the longer charge life of lithium batteries, which we will need for a full eight Hr workday's usage.) Five years ago, we purchased various pairs of earlier Cobra MicroTalk LI 6000 WX two-way radios, which were great for our facilities they are durable, and perform wonderfully for our day-to-day staff operations purposes. Unfortunately, a couple of them have begun to fail due to just about 5 years of challenging, everyday usage and normal put on and tear ... but they had been a awesome investment during their operating lives and some are nevertheless working like champs. Disappointingly, our 2 newer and way more high priced 'test' Cobra MicroTalk CXR925 replacements have verified to be an unsuccessful replacement of our older Cobra LI 6000 WX models. The only challenge (but a important one particular) is that at the highest volume setting of '8' on these CXR925s, these 2 new radios are barely audible and my maintenance and janitorial staff have complained that they quite often have to location the units correct up to their ears to clearly hear transmissions. I received these in the mail yesterday, and charged them overnight. The subsequent day I was a little skeptical regardless of whether or not they would function correctly. They both perform perfectly, and the sound high quality is superb. It is also good given that the radios have just the correct amount of functions. You can get accomplished what you have to have to, withought being dragged down by an insane quantity of worthless functions. I tested them currently and I was in a position to get a mile and a half range out of them even though I was in my residence and my sister was in a automobile. We had been each in a city and it was rainy (I really do not know if rain would have an effect on it).
